Should it be legalized?

In recent years, euthanasia has been a topic of discussion around the globe. The most common definition of euthanasia is the act or practice of ending the life of an individual suffering from a terminal illness or an incurable condition, as by lethal injection or the suspension of extraordinary medical treatment.

There are several types of euthanasia ,for instance active, passive, voluntary , and involuntary. Most of the countries around the world prohibit the practice of euthanasia except Holland , Belgium, Luxemborg , Thailand and a few states in the United States.

It is admitted that there are pro and cons of euthanasia. In this case, some people are in the line with its legalization and the other are against it.They have their own reasons for their stands and are summarized below :-

REASONS FOR

-People have a right to decide when they want to die.
-Wrong to keep people alive beyond their natural life span (e.g. life support machine).
-Gives people the ability to die with dignity.
-Relatives spared the agony of watching their loved ones suffer a slow and painful death.

REASONS AGAINST

-People might commit euthanasia against a person’s wishes.
-People might recover from an illness against all odds. Doctor’s diagnosis might be wrong.
-Christians believe in the Sanctity of Life.
-Against Commandment ‘Do not kill’.
-Doctors are against euthanasia it is their job to try and save & protect life.
-Some people think accepting suffering may have a spiritual value for your soul.

To recapitulate, it depends on us whether to support or reject the idea of euthanasia. Death is very subjective and everybody will face it one day. It is just the way how one's life end that differ.....

Pc Fair Mania!!

The moment you see this advertisement, what come across your mind? Of course of electronic gadgets and components lump at one place. I just visited the fair last Saturday with my college mate, Afif, Fahmi, Fik, Atiqah and Fatin. The venue for the fair was KLCC, which took us about 1 hour to reach there.

This was the atmosphere at the main entrance, with people from all walks of life came as early as 11a.m.,whis was the opening hour. I saw a lot of kids were hassling for the latest electronic gadgets like Mp3, Mp4, Sony Psp and even mobile phone. Coincidentally, I noticed a primary school boy urge his parent to buy Apple iPhone 3G for him. Wow!! Kids nowadays were really demanding for such sophisticated goods although they do not know how to make use of it.

On that day, the person that spends the most was Fatin. She bought a digital camera; Olympus Micro 1040. It is the latest model from Olympus Inc. Initially, the salesman offered the camera at a price of RM 699. For me, it’s quite reasonable, but she was really good in making a bid for the price and manages to buy it even cheaper! What is more, she ended up with a lot of free stuff. After that, I saw her smiling all the way home.

Here are some specification of the camera:-
-Super-slim metal body
-Advanced Face Detection
-Shadow Adjustment Technology
-6.9cm / 2.7-inch LCD
-10 effective Megapixels
-streamlined body with a lens-protecting faceplate
-Smile Shot
-Bright Capture Technology

Actually, she wanted a pink digital camera.(pic above is fake, haha) .However, this model is only available in colours ranging from red, yellow, black and silver. There are option for camera which is available in pink, but for a long-term use, the salesman recommended this model which is more advanced and high-tech. One of the features of the camera that I found unique is Smile Shot, which tracks your subject's face to detect a smile and automatically fires off three consecutive shots so you never miss that perfect smile. This feature is great for capturing hard-to-predict smiles, particularly young children.

A wide range of choices.....

At the Olympus booth...'test-drive' the sample camera

In the end,she treated us at Pizza Hut.Thanz a lot!!:-)

Time Is Running Out !!

People often mention that time flow very fast if you ignore it.That's seems to be absolutely true.I feel like i'm still in February, whereas today is already 1st of April. What the heck!!For Ausmat course this year,we have a lot of assignment and topic test, which is really time-consuming.

Unfortunately,my recent result, which was announced yesterday by our beloved Accounting lecturer,Miss Jenny. was really disheartening.According to the student ranking, I'm at the 10th out of 15.Oh God,my result was REALLY TERRIBLE!!What i had done for the past three months?

Sometime an unacceptable idea come across my mind ; commit suicide. No, you can't do that. No matter what happen, life must goes on. There's still 6 months to go,and we have to face it.Seriously. So right now,I have to give full concentration on my study, rather than playing games or roaming around with no clear motive.

If our senior can make it,why I can't? I had to discover my potential and try to work on my weaknesses.Sorry, not just try, but must. That's what Miss Jenny told us. All in all, time is very precious and priceless. Time that had passed would never ever come back.

Appreciate It 2nd series!!

Continued…
Blogging again then. This week, we will continue with three more approach to make football match more appealing. Well, the next thing to consider is the speed of the game. good football team vary and control the pace of the game, several short passes and then a long pass that splits the defense and puts a teammate through with a chance on goal.

What is more, you can cheer with the fans and feel out the emotional level of the teams . Listen to when the fans cheer, sing and whistle .Meanwhile, listen to their national anthems. Observe how the crowd sings, jumps, claps and stand nearly the whole match.

Last but not least, delight in a goal celebration. As we all know, a goal is hard to come by and a player can be overcome with emotions and deservedly so; a run to the bench to celebrate, a dance, sliding on their chest towards their fans, performs summersault, and also ripping off their jersey.
To sum up, any games might be interesting if we know how to analyze it properly. However, it depends on your interest in which sport that you are interested with.

Appreciate It!!

Do you know who the guy in this photo is? All boys suppose to know. This is a well-known football player around the globe, Cristiano Ronaldo. In this post, I’m not going to comment on his football skills, attitude or salary that he receives. So, what is this post about??Well, I’m going to reveal on how to appreciate a football match on the TV.
Here are several methods to engage yourself in the game and sport from the serenity of tour living room. To begin with, study about the countries/clubs that are in action, as well as their history, custom and current political situation. Which countries/clubs have particular conflict with each other? I would say Manchester United and Chelsea. Usually in the World Cup, colonies are eager to score against the country they gained independence from.

Next, scrutinize the touch of the players. Can they dominate the ball in the air in a single touch and then instantly be ready to shoot or pass? Do they control the ball in anticipation of what they want to do next? Can they avoid defender, shield the ball, and find an open teammate? Concentrate on set pieces, such as free kicks and corner kicks which commonly results in goal.

What is more, recognize the key players. While watching the match, observe their moves .Try to pick out individuals and understand their roles in the match. Players like Fernando Torres of Spain/Liverpool, Michael Ballack from German/Chelsea and Ronaldinho of Brazil/AC Milan are among the well-known key players. They run the show for their squad. In addition, point out the future stars.Commonly, there is new young player that breaks through and light up in the World Cup,for instance Cristiano Ronaldo(Portugal),Lionel Messi(Argentina) and Wayne Rooney(England).

Well, I think that’s all for now. We will analyze three more ways to make watching football match more valuable and meaningful. To bo continued…

Asia or Asya?

The time had come, the moment had arrived.Whether we realize or not,it is already 10th Jan 2009.This is a crucial year where we will face AUSMAT.Anyway,I really miss my former English lecturer,Mrs Lee.She was damn good in guiding and assisting us in her subject.Under her supervision,I manage to score well in IELTS.Thank you very much Mrs. Lee!!

I am very passionate to enter my class on the first day.I hope to do better this year so that I will be able to fly to Australia. It is like a dream come true if such thing happened. As I stepped into my new class,A 512,I am surprise to see a woman foreigner, with blonde hair, blue eyes and bright white skin searching for plce to sit.”Wow,this must be interesting!!We got new member of the class”.Together with her, there were 5 more new students. On the first day,I didn’t manage to know her name and get to know each other.

Eventually,on 9TH Jan,we enter our class for EALD lesson. Our new English lecturer,Mrs. Chan, was cheerful ,affectionate and happy-go-lucky person.Frankly,I like her teaching style very much. Then,an unexpected occasion occur. The new student, which I had mentioned earlier, sat beside me.Oh God?!Is this true??To show my hospitality,I asked her name. She said something sound like ‘Asia’.Asia?Weird isn’t it.I asked her to write her name on a piece of paper. It is ‘Asya’ and not ‘Asia’.

From my observation,Asya’s level in mastering English is really excellent and outstanding. The style she speak, intonation, and vocalization is really close to a native English speaker, although she came from Khazakstan. In EALD lesson that day,Mrs. Chan made a lucky darw for impromptu speech.Indera choose her to deliver a speech regarding a special gift that you had received.

When she deliver her speech in front, everybody seems to be hypnotized by her ability to speak English very well.Mrs. Chan praised her and said ”This is what I want.Simple, clear and entertaining.”So,moral of the story,we should not underestimate people, regardless of whatever their nationalities are.Next, try to make as much friend as you can. There is a proverb say “Make friend with thousand of people, but be loyal to your loved ones’
